 KCHDC has developed 32 low-income housing rental units in Ogallala. The
Great West Townhomes is located on the site of the former community hospital on East 10th and C Street. This project was developed in 2006 and has available eight
two bedroom units and eight three bedroom units.
Oak Ridge Apartments were developed in 2003, and are located at East 13th and L Street. This complex also houses low income tenants and has available sixteen two bedroom units.
| Apartments at both sites are all electric and come equipped with stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, garbage disposal and washer/dryer. Each has a one-car garage installed with an electric garage door opener, and small outdoor cement patio area to the rear. The property pays for water/sewer, trash hauling, snow removal, and lawn care. The tenant is responsible for electrical, cable tv, and phone. Both of the sites are multi-family units and not specific to an age group. |
Property management is handled by EXCEL Development Group of Lincoln. In order to be eligible as a tenant, applicants incomes must be at or below 60% of the area median income.
